Embracing Change: From Boss Mark Motovlog to Angkol Rider

In the ever-evolving world of social media, where digital personas and online identities reign supreme, I recently found myself at a crossroads. After years of running my social media profile under the pseudonym "Boss Mark Motovlog," I made a pivotal decision that felt like a natural evolution of my online presence. I decided to rebrand myself as "Angkol Rider," a name that I believe better reflects my age and my unwavering passion for classic motorcycles.

At 47 years old, I couldn't help but reflect on the journey that had brought me to this point. I had always been an avid motorcyclist, and my love for classic bikes had only grown stronger with time. These vintage machines held a special place in my heart, not just as pieces of engineering excellence but as timeless pieces of art.

The decision to change my social media profile name wasn't a mere whim. It was a conscious choice driven by a deeper understanding of who I am and what I stand for. "Boss Mark Motovlog" had served me well over the years, symbolizing my love for motorcycling and my desire to share that passion with others. However, it had started to feel like a misfit as I enter my fifth decade of life pretty soon.

"Angkol," the Bisaya word for "uncle" or "elder," is a term of respect and endearment in my hometown Davao City. It encapsulated the wisdom and experience that comes with age.

"Angkol Rider" is more than just a name change; it's a statement of identity. It signifies a rider who cherishes the beauty of vintage motorcycles and the freedom of the open road while acknowledging the wisdom that comes with age. It's a nod to the timeless appeal of classic bikes and the joy they bring, regardless of how many years one has under their belt.

Through this transformation, I hope to connect with a broader audience – fellow classic motorcycle enthusiasts, seasoned riders who share my passion, and younger riders who can learn from the experiences I've gained over the years. It's about building a community of like-minded individuals who appreciate the thrill of the ride, the nostalgia of vintage motorcycles, and everything in between.

Changing my social media profile from "Boss Mark Motovlog" to "Angkol Rider" isn't just a rebranding; it's a recommitment to my lifelong love for motorcycling and a celebration of the journey I've traveled. It's a reminder that age is just a number, and the passion for the open road remains undiminished.

So, if you stumble upon "Angkol Rider" on your favorite social media platform, know that you're connecting with a rider who believes that life's adventures only get better with time and that motorcycles are a timeless source of joy and inspiration. Join me on this new chapter of the ride, as we explore the roads less traveled, share stories, and embrace the wisdom that comes with being an "Angkol Rider."

Welcome To My Blog!

Today is a beautiful Saturday! This serves as my first official post. I am not really into writing stuff but I think I will get the hang of it. Blogging would be another platform to showcase my experiences and thoughts in travelling, moto features, food, people, places among other stuff. Today I would like to talk about immersing myself in the digital arena. I'm 47 years old and I must admit I came in late to get acquainted with social media. Time has changed indeed and I am excited about what the future has in store for me. I started motovlogging a couple of years back. Although my YouTube channel was established back in 2016 I really don't know how to go about it. It was during the pandemic that I got hooked into vlogging. And I find it fun and challenging creatively. I decided to put up this blogging site mainly because Google AdSense required me to have one. But apart from that, this would be the perfect avenue for me to express my thoughts. So from this day forward, I will...
