Ninong Gaming

Welcome to the Christian world, Salem Nexus Martuña

August 27, 2023. Today I attended the baptism of Nexus, my friend Amboy's bundle of joy, held at St. Joseph The Worker Parish in Sasa, Davao City. With me as ninongs were buddies from Davao Honda Scooters Club namely (L-R): Gilmar, Arian and Geryl. I've known these guys (including Amboy) when I joined DHSC and we've been friends since then. We've had our share of adventures from long rides to inuman sessions and anything in between. Our friendship leveled up and now we are "kumpadres." Nice one huh? Ayus!

Being a Godparent or "ninong" I would have the same responsibility as the biological parent except paying for the school's tuition (just kidding! 😁). A Godparent's main duty and responsibility is to bring the "inaanak" closer to God as he is grows up. Also (on a personal note) set a good example on how he would become the best version of himself. You know what I mean.

So yeah, today was Ninong gaming. That's little Nexus in the photo.

It's going to be a challenging role for me. I'm happy that I am now part of Nexus Christian life and I'm also excited to witness him achieve his milestones in the days to come. I'm looking forward to see Nexus become the person God wants him to be. To the parents Amboy and wife, and the entire Martuña family, I pray that God bless you always. Thank you for having me on board.

By the way, the food at the reception was great! Too bad I need to watch my diet. 😂

Embracing Change: From Boss Mark Motovlog to Angkol Rider

In the ever-evolving world of social media, where digital personas and online identities reign supreme, I recently found myself at a crossroads. After years of running my social media profile under the pseudonym "Boss Mark Motovlog," I made a pivotal decision that felt like a natural evolution of my online presence. I decided to rebrand myself as "Angkol Rider," a name that I believe better reflects my age and my unwavering passion for classic motorcycles. At 47 years old, I couldn't help but reflect on the journey that had brought me to this point. I had always been an avid motorcyclist, and my love for classic bikes had only grown stronger with time. These vintage machines held a special place in my heart, not just as pieces of engineering excellence but as timeless pieces of art. The decision to change my social media profile name wasn't a mere whim. It was a conscious choice driven by a deeper understanding of who I am and what I stand for. "Boss Ma...

SAFETY FIRST!

I've had my scooter for 3+ years now. The only maintenance I know are the basics like change engine oil every 250 kms, change gear oil every 750 kms, and change coolant by its manual gauge. Yesterday while I was taking it for a spin, I noticed a dragging sound which appears to be from the CVT (gilid). Alarmed, I immediately contacted a friend of mine from the club. We call him boss Jared. Luckily, his shop was open on a Sunday. Sheeesh! I went to his shop called Maui Garage which is located in Cabantian. He immediately jumped in, opened the scoot's CVT and ran some diagnoatics. The CVT needs cleaning definitely. That would reduce the dragging back to its normal state. However he told me that the belt needs to be replaced with a new one. Better to do it soon beforw anything worse could happen. And as the chief mechanic, I will follow his advice. You can watch my YouTube video  on this experience. Safety first. Having a motorcycle or any form of vehicle comes with a cost partic...
