The Freedom and Adventure of Riding Solo

There's an undeniable allure to the open road, the wind in your hair, and the world passing by in a blur of colors. While many people associate motorcycle riding with groups of friends cruising together, there's something uniquely captivating about riding solo. Riding solo isn't just about being alone; it's a journey of self-discovery, freedom, and adventure. In this article, we'll explore the joys and benefits of riding solo.

1. Embracing Independence

Riding solo offers the opportunity to break free from the constraints of a group. When you're alone on your motorcycle, you make all the decisions – where to go, how fast to ride, and when to stop. It's an empowering experience that allows you to be in complete control of your journey. You can set your own pace, take detours on a whim, and savor the solitude of the open road.

2. Deepening the Connection with Your Bike

When you ride solo, you develop a unique bond with your motorcycle. You become attuned to its every sound, vibration, and nuance. This heightened connection can lead to a deeper appreciation for your machine and a more intimate understanding of its capabilities. Riding becomes not just a mode of transportation but a sensory experience, as you become one with your bike.

3. Finding Inner Peace

Riding solo can be a meditative experience. The rhythmic hum of the engine, the feeling of the wind against your skin, and the constant motion of the road can clear your mind like few other activities. It's a time for introspection, allowing you to contemplate life, solve problems, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. For many, solo rides provide a sense of inner calm and clarity.

4. Exploring New Horizons

Solo riding encourages exploration. With no one else to accommodate, you can venture into uncharted territories, take detours down unfamiliar roads, and discover hidden gems along the way. Whether it's a remote mountain pass, a quaint village, or a picturesque lakeside, solo riding lets you explore the world on your terms.

5. Pushing Personal Limits

Riding solo can be a test of your skills and resourcefulness. You'll learn to handle challenges and unforeseen situations independently. From changing a flat tire in the middle of nowhere to navigating through inclement weather, solo riding can build your confidence and resilience. It's an opportunity to push your personal limits and prove your self-sufficiency.

6. Meeting New People

Paradoxically, riding solo can also lead to meaningful social interactions. You're more approachable when you're alone, and fellow travelers or locals are often eager to strike up a conversation with a lone rider. These encounters can lead to friendships, shared experiences, and a deeper understanding of the places you visit.

Conclusion

Riding solo is more than just a solo journey; it's a profound and liberating experience. It allows you to embrace independence, deepen your connection with your motorcycle, find inner peace, explore new horizons, push your personal limits, and connect with people along the way. While group rides have their appeal, solo riding offers a unique blend of freedom and adventure that every motorcycle enthusiast should experience at least once in their lifetime. So, gear up, hit the road, and embark on your own solo adventure – the open road awaits.

Just rev it!

Embracing Change: From Boss Mark Motovlog to Angkol Rider

In the ever-evolving world of social media, where digital personas and online identities reign supreme, I recently found myself at a crossroads. After years of running my social media profile under the pseudonym "Boss Mark Motovlog," I made a pivotal decision that felt like a natural evolution of my online presence. I decided to rebrand myself as "Angkol Rider," a name that I believe better reflects my age and my unwavering passion for classic motorcycles. SAFETY FIRST!

I've had my scooter for 3+ years now. The only maintenance I know are the basics like change engine oil every 250 kms, change gear oil every 750 kms, and change coolant by its manual gauge. Yesterday while I was taking it for a spin, I noticed a dragging sound which appears to be from the CVT (gilid). Alarmed, I immediately contacted a friend of mine from the club. We call him boss Jared. Luckily, his shop was open on a Sunday. Sheeesh! I went to his shop called Maui Garage which is located in Cabantian. He immediately jumped in, opened the scoot's CVT and ran some diagnoatics. The CVT needs cleaning definitely. That would reduce the dragging back to its normal state. However he told me that the belt needs to be replaced with a new one. Better to do it soon beforw anything worse could happen. And as the chief mechanic, I will follow his advice. You can watch my YouTube video  on this experience. Safety first. Having a motorcycle or any form of vehicle comes with a cost partic...
